Naija Economics Weekly I remember the first time i came on twitter it was a disaster. I just opened my first Facebook account and i quickly got into it. Then i heard someone say something about twitter and i immediately searched for it and signed up, but after i logged in....IT WAS DARK AND WITHOUT FORM to me. Which comes first, tax or profit? Like you i think the answer is obviously profit because you can't pay taxes on losses. This article is a sequel to "The New Economy is Digital: What's that have to do with me?" you can read it here. Across the circles of the adoption of digital economy and its technologies one disruption has been in the centre of debates. The reality of the potential threats to tax systems. If i may put it frankly " more companies will not pay taxes".

If you have heard about digital economy and you have no idea what it means, you're not alone. In fact you may be in the majority. As a recent reader on this topic myself, i wish to expose this term 'digital economy' to as many persons as i can and discuss on what it means for our "traditional' Nigerian economy.

So i wrote briefly to introduce this topic and talk mildly on some pertinent issues. But as i began to think more on the potentials, I truly became angrier that the Nigerian government has not done enough to create an infrastructure to support the sector and private investors for not making more investments in this industry. Everybody knows that Africa is the fastest growing continent and has billionaire dollars opportunities waiting to be snatched up. But do you know that investing in Nigeria's herbal industry is one of lesser known, more valuable investments?. I didn't either until recently when i started reading on Africa's traditional medicine. The opportunity is definitely worth your interest.

People say that Nigeria's herbal medicine has been in existence before our ancestors knew the white man's medicine. But their coming you see, saw the doom of the medicine of our people, for one they didn't understand our processes and frankly we thought theirs was better too.

Yesterday while attending a two-day CBN fair tagged ‘Promoting Financial stability and economic development’ one of the speakers spoke of CBN's financial inclusion policy which was launched since 2012 as he spoke many question began to flood my mind ‘what does financial inclusion mean' why is CBN interested in my being financially included so I began digging and here is share with you what I found.

I was reading on "Public Policy" a few days back and i thought i should share with us some of what i learnt, especially as there is the lingering case of public policy ineffectiveness in many developing countries of the world today. So lets understand what public policy is.

I watched as the this year's rounds of Nobel prizes came to an ended with the committee announcing Angus Deaton  as this year's Economics Nobel laureate it was a battle for who has impacted humanity the most via Economics, then a thought struck me when will a Nigerian ever win the Nobel Prize In Economics. As the reality of this question dawned on me i became more worried will a Nigerian be able  to win a Nobel Prize In Economics?.
